About us

At Hall Farm we offer a complete range of services and equipment that have been tailor made to meet all of your horse’s training and recuperation needs. Our dedicated and qualified staff ensure your horses welfare and safety are paramount at every stage of their visit and our 24-hour recorded CCTV provides complete observation and security of all areas at all times.  We are fully insured and welcome inspections. Hall Farm is based in the middle of our 750 acre Saxlingham Estate where we provide the following services.

Rehabilitation of Injured Racehorses and Sports Horses
Our extensive and ‘state-of-the-art’ facilities allow us to provide numerous individual treatment programmes for a variety of injuries and conditions, including:

  • Tendon and Suspensory Injuries
  • Sore-Shins and Jarring
  • Joint Inflammation
  • Open wounds
  • Corns, Laminitis
  • Sore-Backs

We are also happy to take horses that require Box Rest.

Pre-Season Training
We believe that this is potentially the most important part of a horse’s preparation for racing. Conditioning the muscular-skeletal system by introducing controlled steady exercise, especially trotting, can help safe-guard and protect the tendons, ligaments, muscles, etc against the stresses and strains put on the body during racing. Our perfect location and facilities include:

  • Quiet, rural setting with minimal traffic and endless hacking. (Traffic-shy horses need not go onto the road at all)
  • Horse-walker for more gentle primary exercise
  • Arena for schooling, lunging, pole-work and loose-schooling
  • All-Weather Gallop for stamina building/more strenuous exercise (if required)
  •  Aqua-Treadmill for Conditioning/ Toning/ Stamina Building/Change of Routine

Sales-Preparation
The Pre-Sales horse has a variety of exercise options including the ‘Hydro-Horse’ Aqua-Treadmill which provides the perfect controlled exercise for conditioning and muscling-up young horses to gain peak condition for the Sales. Traditional methods of preparation can be used to stop the young (or older) horse from getting bored, including the use of the Horse-Walker, Arena and All-Weather Gallop.

Mid-Season Breaks/Change of Scenery
We are happy to take horses for a break during their busy Training Schedules and also provide the ‘soured’ horse with a ‘change of scenery’. With 70 acres of top quality grazing and superb, horse-friendly fencing, we can provide turn-out for those that require it.

Veterinary Care
We are happy to work with your own vet, or the Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership is just 10 minutes away, which provides a wide range of services including a fully equipped operating theatre and an in-house laboratory. The practice has a resident Equine Vet who has a particular interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of equine orthopedic injuries.

We also work with a locally based fully Chartered Equine Physiotherapist.
